THE most recent crime stats for the Dudley borough have been released, with violence and sexual offences the most reported crime in every policing area of the borough.

A total of 2,119 crimes were reported in Dudley Central, Dudley North, Brierley Hill, Stourbridge and Halesowen in November 2019, the most recent available data reveals.

This is a slight decrease on the 2,171 crimes that were logged in October.

740 crimes were recorded in the Dudley Central policing area, which covers the town centre, Netherton, Russells Hall, Dixons Green, Quarry Bank and Holly Hall areas.

Violence and sexual offences accounted for 289 of recorded crimes, while vehicle crime was recorded 68 times.

The total number of crimes recorded in the area rose by 59 from 681 the previous month.

In neighbouring Dudley North, which covers Gornal, Sedgley and Woodsetton, 284 crimes were reported, a slight fall from 297 crimes reported in October.

Violence and sexual offences were the most reported crimes, which were logged 108 times.

Brierley Hill, which is home to the only publicly accessible police station in the borough, saw 428 crimes recorded, down from 506 the previous month.

Violence and sexual offences were the most recorded crime with 160 logs, followed in second place by criminal damage and arson which was reported 46 times.

The policing area, which covers Brierley Hill, Kingswinford, Pensnett and Wall Heath, also saw 45 recordings of vehicle crime.

Halesowen saw a slight rise in the number of recorded crimes between October and November, rising by 12 from 298 in October to 310 in November.

Violence and sexual offences were reported the most with 110 incidents, while burglary and vehicle crime were the second most reported offences, with 39 and 38 logs respectively.

There was a slight drop in the number of crimes recorded in Stourbridge, with 357 crimes reported in November compared to 389 in October.

Violence and sexual offences topped the list with 118 offences, while vehicle crime was reported 40 times and criminal damage and arson notched up 32 recordings.
