A HELICOPTER and police dog were sent to Kingswinford during a pursuit of suspected car thieves.
The car was spotted being driven dangerously on Stourbridge Road and failed to stop when signalled by police on Thursday (February 27).
Police say the car was abandoned on Burrows Road and the occupants ran off, before a helicopter and police dog were deployed to track the suspected offenders.
Three men were caught following a foot chase and were arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, possessing offensive weapons and being equipped for theft.
Two baseball bats, a hammer and a balaclava were discovered when police searched the car, said PC Jamie Follows via the police's Neighbourhood Alert service.
The car was seized and the men remain in police custody.
