A MAN has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a pensioner died in an alleged hit-and-run in Netherton.
Stanley Shelton, aged 83, was hit by a car as he waited for a bus on Simms Lane on Saturday morning (March 7).
Mr Shelton, who was from Netherton, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
Reece Dunkley, of Kilburn Place, Netherton, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, being at the wheel while disqualified, and drink driving.
The 28-year-old is also charged with failing to stop and report a collision and having no insurance.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (March 9).
