He remains in police custody and is awaiting questioning.

Dudley neighbourhood policing manager, Inspector Pete Sandhu, said: "Warrants and arrests like this are made possible because of the excellent information we receive from the community as well as the incredible work of our intelligence teams.

“Piecing together existing intelligence we had about drug dealing in the Netherton area we were able to take action that has resulted in us securing a haul of vital evidence, weapons, drugs and a significant amount of cash.

“Without the support of the public it is difficult to get the intelligence we need to carry out targeted disruption of suspected criminals operating in our communities. But when people do speak up the results can be fantastic.”

Chief Inspector Philip Cape oversees officers who are tackling organised crime in the area.

He said: “We have intelligence teams who are gathering information around the clock and who are then feeding it into neighbourhood teams to execute warrants.

“Our disruption of suspected organised criminals will not stop and if you have information about drug dealing in your community then please get in touch.”
