A MAN who died after being hit by a car on Amblecote High Street on Saturday has been named as Krzyzstof Klasowski.

The 37-year-old, from West Bromwich, was found with multiple injuries near Holy Trinity Church on the morning of Saturday December 16 and he was pronounced dead at the scene after the emergency services were alerted at around 5.25am.

His family have now been informed of his death and are being supported by specially trained officers.

A 20-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after handing himself into a local police station but he has been released pending further investigation.

West Midlands Police still want to speak to anyone, who has not yet come forward, who was in the area at around 3.30am.
