HURST Green Park is to get a facelift and new security after travellers recently trespassed on the site.
Dudley Council officers have been looking at ways to make the park secure from travellers entering the site which are sustainable, There will be now a combination of extra tree planting, fencing, benches and bollards will be installed.
It is hoped that this solution will actually add to the amenity value of the site as well as preventing the problem.
Dudley Council cabinet member for the environment Councillor Hilary Bills said: I’m delighted that measures are to be taken that will make the park more secure and at the same time enhance it.
"Also, following my recent appeal, enough people have come forward to form a Friends of Hurst Green Park who will make it their aim to protect and maintain the park for its many users."
