A HALESOWEN singing group is appealing for new members ahead of celebrating its first birthday.
The Shenstone Singers started last September with the purpose of offering an opportunity for people who would like to sing.
Founder Margaret Jones said: "Much of what we sing is in unison, with the occasional harmonies, mostly popular in style.
"The social side is important, with a refreshment break in the middle of the meetings to get to know other members of the group."
She added: "There has been much written about how singing with others is great for your health - and these sessions are certainly uplifting.
"The group has grown slowly over the past 12 months and we would really welcome new members to continue this."
The group meets at the dance studio at the Zion Christian Centre, Little Cornbow, on Friday mornings from 10am until noon.
The £4 a session subs includes a drink and biscuits during the break.
For more information about the group contact shenstonemusic@gmail.com or phone 07761849332.
The next meeting is Friday, September 2.
