A WOMAN suffered serious injuries after falling from a bridge onto the railway line near Rowley Regis Train Station last night (Wednesday, November 22).
Emergency services, who were called to the scene in Long Lane, Blackheath, at around 7.15pm, found the woman conscious and breathing, but she had suffered multiple serious injuries.
After administering pain relief to the woman and getting her onto a stretcher, the West Midlands Ambulance Service teams rushed her to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for treatment.

A spokesman for the ambulance service, which sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Trust’s HART paramedics to the scene, said: “Upon arrival they found a woman on the train line.
“HART paramedics accessed the train line down a steep embankment whilst other ambulance colleagues walked along the track, which had been closed following the incident, from the nearby train station.
“The woman was conscious and breathing but had suffered multiple serious injuries.
“The HART paramedics and ambulance crews worked as a team to administer pain relief to the woman before she was carefully immobilised with a pelvic binder and specialised multi-integrated body splint (MIBS) stretcher.
“The team of emergency staff then carried the woman onto an out-of-service train to make the short journey back to the railway station to the awaiting ambulance.
“The woman was taken on blue lights to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further trauma care.”
West Midlands Fire Service and police were also in attendance.
