A HEREFORD man has been charged with murder following an extensive investigation into the death of a woman in 2016.

Terri Webb's body was recovered from the River Wye in December 2016 after she was reported missing in November of the same year.

Police have today charged 47-year-old Ian Palamountain from Huskinson Drive of College estate in Hereford with her murder.

Louise Bridges, 29 from Mayberry Avenue in Redhill has been charged with assisting an offender.

Both have been remanded in custody to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Terri, who was a mother and aged 39 at the time of her death, had been missing for more than a month before her body was found in the river near Hampton Park Road in Hereford.

Police had released two appeals seeking information on her whereabouts before she was found. 

She was last seen on November 19, 2016 near to the Aldi store in Hereford and was found on December 27, 2016.
