A KIND Stourport charity supporter has reached an incredible milestone in her fundraising efforts for the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Lynne Beckett is celebrating after collecting more than £150,000 for the lifesaving charity through her eBay page in just under a decade.

The 46-year-old sells charity merchandise, toys and books and was originally named eBay’s top individual charity seller in 2016 when she hit the £100,000 mark.

But her continued efforts have now seen her reach the next major milestone for the charity, which needs to raise in excess of £9million every year to undertake up to six air ambulance missions every day.

She said: “I’m really thrilled to have raised such a significant amount of money for such a worthwhile charity.

“I’d like to thank everyone who purchases from me via eBay, and to my husband and friends who are great assistants with sorting, cleaning and packaging items to sell.”

Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Lynne has been fundraising for the charity for over nine years, and her latest achievement means she has funded over 60 lifesaving air ambulance missions in total.

“Her support is hugely appreciated by all at the charity, and the patients we have been able to save the lives of thanks to her fundraising.”

Nick Aldridge, chief executive officer for the PayPal Giving Fund, stated: “We are extremely proud to have been able to support Midlands Air Ambulance Charity on its eBay journey.

“This significant milestone illustrates the power of the eBay for Charity programme in enabling customers to support their favourite charities while they buy and sell on eBay.”
