MALVERN Air Cadets have been able to buy new equipment thanks to a grant from county councillor Paul Tuthill.

Flying Officer Alex Hall, the officer commanding the 1017 (Malvern) Squadron ATC, said the equipment will support activities which foster the spirit of adventure amongst the squadron’s cadets and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship which would be useful both in the services and civilian life.

The grant of £580 came out of Cllr Tuthill's divisional fund, which each council member is given to support community activities in their areas.

Any youngsters interested in joining the cadet unit, which meet on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9pm at Dukes Meadon, Barnards Green, should contact oc.1017@aircadets.org or 1017 Malvern Sqn Air Cadets on Facebook.
