LEDBURY HERITAGE CENTRE
FOLLOWING on from our successful event in the Heritage Centre in September called ‘Hear my Voice – the working woman’s fight for the vote’, we are hosting another event in the Centre in Church Lane, Ledbury on Saturday, October 20 at 7pm.
Join us for ‘Frightful Folklore, Dark Tales’, a candlelit evening of storytelling of Herefordshire folk tales and Gothic poetry from Cath Gardner and Melissa Boyle.
This will be atmospherically illuminated and illustrated with prints and drawings by local artist and print maker, Zoe Wheeler. As well as demonstrating her lino print interpretations of local folk tales, Zoe will invite guests to try their hand at printing.
Tickets, costing £7 including refreshment, are now on sale at the Heritage Centre.
The Heritage Centre is owned by Ledbury Places, a local charitable trust and is open throughout the season from April to October, seven days a week.
It is staffed entirely by volunteers.
This event is sponsored by Joined Up Heritage.
With little funding, events such as this and generous donations and purchases by our visitors enable us to keep our lights on.
