POLICE are advising people to avoid Church Hill Centre after two people were hit by a lorry.
Police were called to a report of a collision between two pedestrians and a lorry on Tanhouse Lane in Redditch at around 8.10am this morning (Monday).
Officers attended along with emergency services and the fire brigade.
A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A woman thought to be in her late 60s suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Posting on Facebook Redditch police urged people to stay away from the area for the "forseeable" future.
They said: "If you have not been spoken to by the police and you have witnessed the incident at approximately 8am please call 101 and quote Incident reference number- 088s 151018 at your earliest convenience.
"Please respect the casualties and their families by not speculating or distributing images/footage of the incident."
