A UNIVERSITY student is desperate to get in touch with a Worcestershire woman who adopted one of her husky’s puppies a few years ago.

Jourdan Longden’s husky Jazz gave birth to four puppies three-and-a-half-years ago with three being sold and one kept by the student and her family.

Nika, one of the young huskies, was sold to a man from Hull, where Jourdan and her family also live, but he then sold her to a Worcestershire woman.

Jourdan, who studies Interior Architecture and Design at the University of Leeds, said the family has kept in touch with all the other new owners and wish to track down Nika and her new owner.

“I would love to see if she is okay and have contact with the new owners – I have been searching for so long,” said Jourdan.

The man from Hull named the puppy Nika after adopting her in May 2015, but lost touch with the Longden family and they were only recently able to get hold of him again.

“He said he sold Nika to a woman who lives in Worcestershire and has four acres of land,” continued Jourdan. “He said he kept in touch with her initially but hasn’t heard from her now.”

Mum Jazz is now eight-years-old and the family only bred her once after being advised to do so because she was unwell.

Jourdan said they advertised the puppies for sale on Facebook, but ended up keeping Ewok, the youngest, when they struggled to find a buyer for him.

“They’re all doing well, but we just didn’t want to be left in the dark about Nika,” she said. “We met lots of people when selling the puppies, originally, but quite a few didn’t seem suitable. We wanted to make sure they all went to good homes.”

She said the man from Hull said he sold Nika the same year he bought her because his housing situation changed.
