GARDENERS in Wyre Forest can treat themselves this Christmas by taking advantage of Wyre Forest District Council’s latest brown bin offer.
The council is running a special promotion from now until Wednesday, December 19 by waiving the £20 one-off start up fee as well as £5 off the yearly collection charge for new garden waste customers.
A full year’s service for a large 240 litre bin will cost £43.50.
The service operates from March to December and during a full season includes a minimum of 20 fortnightly collections.
Residents with smaller gardens will also receive a £25 discount by getting a 140 litre bin for £27 or 20 collections for £1.35 each.
Councillor Rebecca Vale said: “Having a garden waste collection can save you time, money and the inconvenience of taking your garden waste to the tip – you will also do your bit for the environment."
