Year 1 children from Bengeworth CE Academy in partnership with the Evesham Hotel and Spa bought learning to life as part of their Time for Tea topic, when they visited the hotel.
The children enjoyed afternoon tea, the staff providing them with a wonderful first hand experience by serving finger sandwiches and chocolate cakes, all in the traditional manner of an afternoon tea.
Staff poured them cups of squash (instead of tea) and explained the history of afternoon tea.
One of the youngsters summed up the event as "the best experience ever!’
The pupils are now excitedly looking forward to preparations for their own afternoon tea for their grandparents which will take place in February.
A school spokesman said they would like to thank all the staff at the Evesham Hotel for such a wonderful experience.
