MEN were seen carrying hammers after an attempted burglary at Blakedown Post Office this morning (Monday).
The front window to the Birmingham Road post office was smashed shortly before 3am.
Two men were seen with hammers around the time of the incident and a third man was spotted driving a dark-coloured getaway car. All were wearing dark clothing.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and are asking anyone with CCTV footage in the area to get in touch.
A spokesman said: "If you live near to this location and have CCTV that can assist police with their enquiries please call 101."
Witnesses should quote incident number 030s of February 11 to West Mercia Police.
A spokesman added: "Home security is the best way to reduce your chances of being burgled; a lot of burglaries are opportunist, as a burglar may see an open window or other easy point of entry and take their chance.
"Taking some small security measures can often be a deterrent."
