Employees at a leading city technology firm have nominated Midlands Air Ambulance as their charity of the year.
Over the next 12 months, employees at Open GI, in Warndon,will participate in a number of fundraising opportunities, such as cake sales and sponsored charity runs.
The aim to raise £10,000 for the helicopter ambulance charity, which the firm itself will then be match-fund, allowing ithe total to top the £20,000 mark.
Chief executive Chris Guillaume said: “We’re really looking forward to taking part in a number of events throughout the year to raise money for this lifesaving cause.”
Adam Williams of the air ambulance said: “It’s really exciting that Open GI have chosen to raise funds for the charity.
"£20,000 would fund eight lifesaving missions, so let’s hope they smash their target.”
