PLANS have been submitted for almost 30 flats on land at the junction of Ipsley Street, Station Way, and Evesham Street in the town centre.

Proposals include 13 two bedroom shared ownership apartments, and 14 one bed flats for local people with long term needs.

There will be also be a resource hub which comprises staff office, bedroom, lounge/meeting room, kitchen and shower room.

The site occupies a triangular plot of land to the south of Station Way, south of the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, and to the south of the town.

Evesham Street and Ipsley Street form the western and southeastern site boundaries, respectively.

To the south of the site is Mount Pleasant.

Developers Bromford said it has worked closely with Redditch Borough Council during the development of the proposals to ensure that they "respond positively to the need for the provision of general needs housing and supported living accommodation."

The developer added it is committed to working closely with the local community and will keep neighbours informed as the development proceeds.
