A MAN carrying a knife stole goods from a late-night supermarket in Warndon.

The man is believed to have shown a small knife to staff as he was leaving the Tesco store at Mill Wood Lane, carrying an unknown amount of goods.

He seen leaving the store and heading along Mill Wood Drive towards the roundabout on a white bicycle.

The incident took place around midnight on Tuesday. The store opens from 5am to midnight every day except Sundays.

The man is described as as white, around 40 years old, about six feet tall and wearing a long green jacket and blue jeans.

A Tesco spokesperson said: "We’re assisting the police with their enquiries following a shoplifting incident at our Worcester Mill Wood Drive superstore on Monday evening."

Police have issued a CCTV image of a man the wish to talk to, and urge anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident number 2s of February 19.
