WORCESTERSHIRE Ambassadors has appointed six new directors with a wealth of experience across a range of business sectors.

Chris Green, James Green, Tracy Lowe, Sarah Mayo-Evans, Dawn Owen and Derek Simmonds are all joining the board to help build awareness of the group - which aims to promote Worcestershire through charity fundraising events.

This year they are supporting St Paul’s Hostel and Worcester Community Trust.

Chris Green is managing partner of communications agency, Chris Green Media, James Green is founder and chief executive of IT and cloud managed services provider, TechTeam, and Tracey Lowe is proprietor at Lowe’s Solicitors.

Sarah Mayo-Evans is a property developer and director of Pierpoint Properties, while Dawn Owen is director of business consultants Asentiv and Derek Simmonds is a solicitor and partner of gunnercooke LLP.

Kevin Powell, chairman of Worcestershire Ambassadors, said: “I’m delighted to welcome six highly enthusiastic members to the existing board. The selection process was very competitive with some excellent candidates offering us a range of skills and experience.

“All of our new directors share a passion for Worcestershire and are dedicated to promoting the county as a great place to live, work, invest, visit and do business in.”

Mr Green said: “I’m honoured to join the board and I’m really looking forward to raising awareness of the fabulous work Worcestershire Ambassadors do across the county.”

Worcestershire Ambassadors hosts a range of fundraising and social events including charity dance competition Strictly Worcestershire, which will be staged at the Chateau Impney in Droitwich, on May 23.

More events taking place throughout the year include a cricket day at Worcestershire County Cricket Club on May 1 and an annual ball held at West Midland Safari Park in October.
