A COSMETIC surgery hospital in Bromsgrove has been put into administration for the second time in three years – costing some local businesses and suppliers ‘hundreds of pounds’ in the process.

THFC Ltd and Combine OpCo Ltd, the owners of Dolan Park Hospital in Tardebigge, were placed in administration earlier in July.

The Stoney Lane facility – believed to be Europe’s largest purpose-built cosmetic hospital – was also put into administration back in 2016 under different ownership.

At that time, national newspaper the Independent reported the worries of patients who believed they would be unable to claim compensation for alleged instances of botched surgery.

Dena Jenks, of Blackwell Village Stores, contacted the Advertiser about the latest administration move, saying it had left her business – and several others – well out of pocket.

Dena added: “We supply them with bread and for the last couple of months they have not been paying us.

“It’s not just us that have been affected, we have heard that other small local businesses such as window cleaners have also not been paid.

“Small businesses like us can’t afford to take this sort of hit. They owe us more than £400 for the goods we have supplied.

“We have to lodge a claim with the administrators for the debt which and we doubt we will get anything. As a very small village store, this debt will cause us financial difficulties.”

The business operations of TFHC and Combine OpCo have been purchased in a pre-pack administration by Transform Hospital Group Ltd, to enable the business to be preserved.

A statement from a Transform Hospital Group spokesperson said: “We can confirm that TFHC Ltd and Combine OpCo Ltd, the holding companies for The Transform Hospital Group, have gone through a pre-pack administration to restructure the business into one central entity – Transform Hospital Group.

“Against a challenging macro-economic backdrop, this was seen as a necessary move to place the business on firm financial footing.

“This means we will be able to continue working with our suppliers for the long term, though we do very much regret what we hope will be a temporary effect on them.

“There is absolutely no impact on patients who have had, or who are due to have their surgery with us.

“All aftercare packages remain in place and patients should attend their scheduled appointments as usual.

“All employees have been transferred to the new operating company, so patients will continue to be treated in our first class facilities, with the same dedicated clinical staff.“
