WORCESTERSHIRE County Council is coming to Kidderminster market to speak to residents this Saturday.

Councillors and council staff will be at Kidderminster Market for the final roadshow of the summer to answer any questions about its services.

The roadshow will take place on Saturday, August 17 between 9am and 4pm.

Experts will be available to speak about the improvements to Worcester Street and the new Kidderminster Train Station.

There will also be information on new company Worcestershire Children First, which will take over the county's children's services from October.

The visit follows weeks of roadshows across the six districts in Worcestershire, the most recent of which was held in Wythall last weekend.

Councillor Karen May, cabinet member with responsibility for transformation and commissioning at Worcestershire County Council, said: “We currently have lots of activity going on in Kidderminster with the rebuild of Kidderminster Station and work on Worcester Street.

"This roadshow will be a fantastic opportunity for residents to speak to councillors and council staff about these projects.

“We are also keen to speak to people in Kidderminster about preparing for older age and introduce more people to our new children’s services company, Worcestershire Children First."
