THE third Worcestershire Architecture Awards ceremony has taken place.

Attendees packed into the No 35 Wine Bar in Worcester on Thursday August 15, to celebrate inspiring new architecture in the county and the work of the Worcestershire architects more widely.

The Worcestershire Society of Chartered Architects is the local branch of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

The Awards and activities of the branch are organised by local RIBA members volunteering their time and energy.

The Awards engage the wider community, promoting the use of a Chartered Architect, with a public exhibition of the entries, and by inviting the public to vote for their favourite project shortlisted from this year’s entries by the Worcester News.

The judges this year were: Katherine McNeil, course director for the undergraduate Architecture School of Art & Design at Coventry University, Kirk Rushby, architect at Architype based near Hereford and Steven Collins, reporter at the Worcester News.
