Ann Dobbins, clerk at Pershore Town Council, said: “The two towns were twinned 40 years ago and the recent delegation, including Bad Neustadt’s mayor, Bruno Altrichter, enjoyed days out, including a visit to Bath and Pershore’s Plum Festival.
“Many new friends were made this year and host families in Pershore put them up.
“People are concerned that the Brexit process will put an end to the tie but it’s been going on since 1979 now so it won’t end.”
Mayor Bruno Altrichter was formally welcomed in a civic ceremony at Pershore Town Hall on Saturday August 24, and he was presented with a selection of beer from the Pershore Brewery.
