A 41-year-old man has appeared in court accused of burglary after two Worcester businesses were raided and more than £2,000 in cash stolen.
James Marson of no fixed address did not enter pleas to the four offences when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday.
He is accused of burgling VIP Beauty in Worcester between March 1 and March 2 this year (where the prosecution say he stole £1.85 in cash).
Over the same period he is accused of a burglary at Be the Change Foods in Worcester where £2,512 in cash and a t-shirt were stolen.
Marson is also accused of breaching a criminal behaviour order between March 1 and 2 by entering an area defined in a map between 9pm and 7am.
He was prohibited from entering this area by the terms of that order, made at Worcester Magistrates Court on September 9, 2017.
The defendant is also charged with possession of a controlled drug of class C - 1.57g of Subutex.
Marson was represented at the hearing by Mark Turnbull.
Owen Beale, prosecuting, said the case was not suitable to be heard in the magistrates court. The next hearing will be a plea and trial preparation hearing at Worcester Crown Court on October 10.
Marson was remanded in custody.
