CHILDREN at Matchborough First School Academy really got into the spirit of things when they celebrated National Heritage Day.
The aim of the day was for pupils to learn about important figures, famous historic monuments and periods of time from history that have shaped Britain to make it the country it is today.
The children and staff were asked to come to school dressed as a famous figure from history.
Among the many costume were Kings, Queens, Suffragettes and soldiers.
