HEREFORDSHIRE is braced for heavy rain tomorrow (Tuesday).

Stormy downpours are expected between 9am and 10am, with more heavy rain at around 1pm.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning, which means that although some places will remain dry:

There will be heavy showers with the risk of hail and thunder. Maximum temperature 19C.

The arrival of more typically autumnal weather follows a week in which Herefordshire enjoyed balmy temperatures, peaking at 24C in places on Saturday.

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
  • Bus and train services will probably be affected with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads will probably make journey times longer
  • There may be some interruption to power supplies due to lightning​
