No Ashes year would be complete without An Evening With Boycott and Aggers.

After all, there’s nothing like a battle with the old enemy to bring out the belligerent best in Geoffrey!

And the good news is, they'll be down to straight speaking at Malvern Theatres, next week.

A spokesman said: "The boys will be watching every ball and win, lose or draw, Geoffrey will tell Jonathan exactly what he thinks about the players, their performance and many other subjects in this brilliant, brand new show.

"As anyone who has been before knows, this show is so much more than just cricket chat. The night is peppered with wickedly funny anecdotes and will, as ever, be fun, fiery and full of surprises. Boycotts has sworn revenge on Aggers after Jonathan’s hilarious wind-ups on Test Match Special. Come and see if this is the night he gets his own back!"

Aggers said: "In fact he got me back this year, which he enjoyed but he always does take them extremely well. He’s actually got more of a sense of humour than people think. I have always got on with Geoffrey.

"We’re obviously twenty years apart and our relationships built on mutual respect from when we used to play cricket against each other. I’ve always admired him and of course I enjoy his company on the radio."

He added: "I’ve been really lucky to have such an interesting life and to be involved with cricket for so long, I’ve met some amazing people along the way. The show is not just about cricket though; I’ve also covered two Olympic games, one in London one in Rio covering of all things archery and equestrian sport. I think people can expect to have a fun, enjoyable and enlightening evening."

The date for the diary is October 1.
