A DUO of brain tumour survivors from Kidderminster have helped organise a charity walk to raise awareness of the disease.

Sabrina Bell, 25, and Ellie Cox, 23, were both diagnosed will a brain tumour back in 2014, and have recently become young ambassadors for The Brain Tumour Charity five years on.

Their 8km canal walk, will take place on Saturday, October 12 at The Lock Inn, Wolverley Road, at 12 noon.

The aim of the walk is to raise awareness of brain tumours and fundraise to help find a cure for the disease.

Sabrina said: "Following our own experience in 2014, it means a lot to Ellie and myself to spread awareness and fundraise in our hometown.

"Anyone is welcome to come along to support a fantastic cause and it's a great opportunity for those who have been directly or indirectly affected to find out more about the services that The Brain Tumour Charity provides."

Ellie said: "It’s an awesome way to spend your Saturday and we’d love it if you can come and help.

"We want to leave the canal feeling like we’ve made a difference- so come on over, whether you donate £5 or £50, every little bit helps.

"Our aim is to improve understanding, diagnosis and treatment of brain tumours to improve outcomes for everyone affected.

Help us to find a cure."
