THE Co-op in Studley will be officially re-opened following a £1million revamp.
Located in Alcester Road, the store runs on 100 per cent renewable electricity, and supports around 20 local jobs.
It includes customer car parking, Amazon Lockers, a new-look bakery and a Costa coffee dispenser, alongside an increased range of fresh and chilled products, vegan and free-from foods, award winning wines, toys and homeware.
The store also offers compostable carriers as a more environmentally friendly alternative to single-use plastic bags.
If shoppers forget their bag-for-life, the not-for-profit 5p compostable bag can be used to carry shopping home, and then have a secondary use as a food waste caddy liner in the home.
Amy Guest, Co-op’s Studley store manager, said: “The store has been completely transformed, it has a great new look and we are receiving fantastic feedback.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to make such a significant investment in Studley - our aim is for the store to operate at the heart of local life, a community hub making a difference locally. We are looking forward to welcoming customers old and new into the store.”
The store officially re-launches on Thursday, October 24, where there will be offers and promotions in and around the store.
