A NUMBER of road and lane closures are set to take place over the next few weeks in Worcester.
- Arboretum Road, East Street and Middle Street will be closed from November 11 to 15 for remedial works with Severn Trent Water.
- Warndon Way on the A4440 will be closed on November 11.
- Due to a carriageway reconstruction, the A449 Worcester Northern Link is set to be closed from November 11 to 15.
- Back Walk will be closed as a boundary box is renewed from November 12 to 14. Following this, the street will be closed again from November 18 to 21 as a gas main is set to be replaced.
- Upper Park Street will be closed on November 18 while Worcestershire Highways work on street lighting in the area.
- Drivers will be unable to go up Worcester High Street on November 21 due to the city’s Christmas lights switch-on.
- The A44 Whittington Road will be closed on November 12 as Worcestershire Highways install crossing studs and additional signage in central reservation.
- Deansway will be closed on November 12 due to remedial works.
- The A38 Commandery Road will be closed on November 15 as Worcestershire Highways perform works on street lighting.
- Midland Road will be closed on November 18.
Temporary traffic lights are set to be installed in the following places.
- Traffic lights will be installed in Oldbury Road between November 11 and 13 from 9.30am to 3.30pm. 63m of one-way poly duct will be installed in the footway.
- Traffic lights will be placed in Newtown Road from November 11 to November 13.
- Croft Road will have temporary traffic lights in place between 11.30pm and 6am on November 11 due to a viaduct vegetation clearance.
- Between 9.30am and 3pm on November 13, Astwood Road will have traffic lights in place as a fire hydrant will be replaced.
- Henwick Road is set to have temporary traffic lights from November 17 to November 19 as a boundary box is installed.
- Remedial work will be carried out in Tolladine Road on November 19 so traffic lights will be in place.
