A FUNDRAISING page set up for a family whose home was destroyed by a fire has raised more than £1,300 in just days.

Fire crews were called to a flat fire in Pitchcombe Close, Redditch on Saturday morning.

Thankfully Emma Daley, who is six months pregnant, and her family were out at the time.

However, their beloved pet dog Rupert died.

The fire devastated the family's flat destroying everything they owned.

The fundraising page set up to help the family says: "Emma, Craig, and Harley, lost everything in a house fire, which not only ruined all there belongings but took the life of their beautiful dog Rupert. Emma is also six months pregnant and now deserves a boost and for everyone to get together and show how loved they are and help them start over again."

It added: "Any donation is appreciated."

Redditch Advertiser:

At the time of going to press £1,324 has been raised.

Emma said: "We lost everything. Nothing could be saved - we're still in the clothes we left in, so have nothing left."

She added: "We're so overwhelmed and grateful for all the kind words and gestures and donations and support we've been given.

"It's been really humbling to see the community of Redditch come together in this way and try and help us build everything we have lost from this tragic fire."

Emma, who is staying at a friends, said the housing association would be putting them up in a hotel then hopefully finding them temporary accommodation until they can find somewhere else.
