A CHARITY car wash will take place in Malvern to raise money for firefighters.

Malvern resident Briar Milford is hosting a car wash at Morrison’s in Roman Way for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Briar is doing this to support her husband Simon 'Billy' Beard, a Malvern firefighter, and she is also running the London Marathon for the charity next spring.

The car wash takes place from 10am to 3pm tomorrow (Saturday) and all money raised will go towards the Fire Fighters Charity

The family has set up a fundraising page to support the challenge, and Briar said: “The everyday heroes of the UK fire and rescue community face traumatic life and death situations.

“The Fire Fighters Charity is here to support them whether injured, ill or in need of psychological support.

“Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.”
