A COTSWOLDS networking group raised more than £1,600 for Children’s Air Ambulance at their festive drinks and nibbles event hosted at The Lygon Arms, Broadway.

Local business owners Ruby Edwards, from You Do Better PR, and Peter Heming, managing director of the Heming Group, joined together to help boost trade in the area and host a monthly networking group – Cotswold Business Connections – over breakfast in Broadway.

Anna Phillips from the Children’s Air Ambulance said: “We are thrilled to have such great support for our charity.

"The national lifesaving service we provide to critically ill babies and children in need of an urgent transfer to a specialist paediatric intensive care unit is absolutely vital.

"We’re always looking for more companies to work with and this event has given us a great opportunity to raise awareness and meet new contacts.”

Erika Steward, director at the Lygon Arms, said: "We were excited to participate in the recent event which supported the Children's Air Ambulance and are delighted by the amount raised for this extremely worthwhile charity.

"The local community is of paramount importance to the hotel and we were very pleased to be able to contribute towards such a wonderful cause”.

Launched in February 2019 and hosted at The Swan once a month, the breakfast meeting aims to introduce local professional contacts to each other throughout the Cotswolds in an informal and friendly way.
