TIME is running out to get your votes in for Pub of the Year.

Our Pub of the Year contest sees readers voting for their favourite establishment in the city, with the winning landlord receiving a trophy and being invited to parliament by Worcester’s MP.

Another pub which has been getting nominations and is in the running for the prize is the Holt Fleet in Holt Heath.

Staff at the pub said they were pleased to hear it was getting nominations, with praise for great food, great staff and "good refurbishments".

The pub is a popular wedding venue, being on the banks of the River Severn, and only four miles from Worcester.

This former hotel was rebuilt in 1937 but dates back to the late 18th century when it was a popular stop for Victorian riverside cruises.

The pub is family and dog friendly, and has a Christmas menu and special parties that are being organised for the festive season.

To vote in the competition send the newspaper slip to Pub of the Year, Worcester News, Hylton Road, WR2 5JX.

We’re now allowing our readers to vote for their favourite pub by email too. All readers need to do is email deb.walton@localiq.co.uk with the subject ‘WORCESTER NEWS PUB OF THE YEAR: NAME OF THE PUB’ and then, in the body of the email, explain why you’ve chosen the pub.

The deadline for email votes is the same as for the voting slips in the paper: Friday, December 20.

The winner will be announced in the newspaper and on our website on Christmas Eve. If you’d like your favourite pub to be featured next week, email michael.purton@newsquest.co.uk.
