A DROITWICH man was jailed for eight weeks after he breached a restraining order preventing him from contacting a woman in Worcester.

Dean Boorman, aged 34, from Rose Close, was sent to prison after he admitted two counts of breaching the court orders and one charge of failing to surrender at magistrates court while on bail.

Boorman, who was also ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge, was told his offending was serious due to his criminal record and non-compliance with court orders.

He was jailed for a further 14 days after admitting failing to comply with supervision requirements after release from prison.

Also before Worcestershire magistrates:

Bobby Knowles, aged 20, from Churchill Road, Catshill, was given a four-month jail term suspended for 12 months and ordered to take part in treatment for alcohol dependency and rehabilitation activity after he admitted two charges of assaulting a police officer.

He was also ordered to pay a total of £200 compensation.
