A TOWN council plans to declare a climate emergency.
At a recent meeting of Chipping Norton town council it was decided that Councillor Sandra Coleman would draft a declaration of climate and ecology emergency, and a climate action plan.
Cllr Coleman is also going to prepare a list of projects suggested by council members.
She will be speaking to local florists on the use of plastic and will be doing further research into ways of reducing plastic.
The use of plastic and other materials has been discussed at a previous Cemetery and Pool Meadow committee meeting.
