POLICE are appealing for information to find the owner of a dog who bit a man, causing him to need hospital treatment.

A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: "At around 7.50pm on January 9 a man walking across a field near to Droitwich Leisure Centre at Briar Mill, Droitwich, was bitten on the back by a dog.

"He suffered an injury to his back that required hospital treatment.

“We are working to identify the owner of the dog, which was believed to be a husky and thought to be called Jason."

It is understood the owner was a woman.
