INSTRUCTORS at a Herefordshire activity centre are shunning shaving in a bid to raise funds for a fantastic cause.
The eight-strong team from Oaker Wood Leisure near Leominster decided to turn their in-house competition into a four month charity beard growing challenge over the winter.
The team, including managing director David Davies and sons Sam and Ben, last shaved on November 1, promising to put away their razors until February 29 - a total of 121 days.
They are well on their way, with less than 3 weeks to go.
All funds raised through the challenge will go to the Macmillan Renton Unit at Hereford County Hospital, which cares for people who either have cancer or are having tests when cancer is suspected.
A spokesperson for the company said the 'beard growing squad' have had varying degrees of success, but it’s all for a good cause!
