FIREFIGHTERS are warning motorists to drive carefully after a crash caused a fuel spillage in a north Herefordshire village this afternoon.
A crew from Kingsland Fire Station was called to Eardisland earlier today, where diesel from a car transporter lorry had spilled across the road.
A fire service spokesperson said the crew were called to make the lorry safe.
"On arrival, it was obvious that the lorry's full diesel tank had been damaged and was leaking badly," the fire service said.
"The environmental protection unit from Kidderminster was used, and Balfour Beatty did a great job to absorb as much fuel as possible."
Absorbent granules have been laid on the road.
