RESIDENTS’ car parking passes for the Malvern Hills Trust’s car parks on the Hills and Commons will be available to purchase from Malvern Library from next week.

Alongside the Library, Resident’s passes will also be available to purchase from Colwall Library and the Malvern Hills Trust’s offices from the 1st March 2020.

This new partnership comes as the Tourist Information Centre ceases to sell the passes following their move to smaller premises at the Lyttelton Well Courtyard.

Beck Baker, community and conservation officer said: "We’re delighted to be working with Malvern Library to sell our car park passes this year.

"The extended opening hours of the Library will offer people the chance to purchase their car park pass when it is most convenient for them before getting out and exploring the Hills and Commons."

Councillor Lucy Hodgson, cabinet member for communities from Worcestershire County Council said: “This is great news for local people and a win win situation for us.

"By working with Malvern Hills Trust to offer an alternative venue to sell their car passes, we can encourage local people who may not regularly visit Malvern Library the chance to take a peek inside."

The Resident’s (concessionary) car park passes are available to residents of the town of Malvern, and the parishes of Colwall, Guarlford, Malvern Wells, Mathon and West Malvern who pay a levy toward the Trust. The pass is valid from the 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2021 for £5.70.

Residents need to bring their Council Tax bill, either paper or electronic copies, which details the levy to the Trust, as proof of their address. No other forms of ID will be accepted.
