THE driver of a car with a shockingly worn tyre had a young child passenger when he was stopped by police.
He also tested positive for cannabis.
Members of Herefordshire police operations patrol unit, who halted the car in Ross-on-Wye, said the cord lining of the tyre was exposed.
They spotted another car swaying across the road as it was being driven at Harewood End, between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye.
The car was stopped, and the driver had only a provisional licence. The two front tyres were illegal so the vehicle was seized and the driver reported.
