POLICE in Hereford have confirmed that they were involved in an armed incident in Worcester.
This was initially understood to have been in Hereford, after Herefordshire Operations Patrol Unit wrote on social media: "Great team work in Hereford after a firearms incident 4 x arrested after utilising @HerefordCID @K999Cops @OPUShropshire @OPUWorcs".
However, a police communications officer told the Hereford Times this afternoon that they understand the tweet to have related to a firearms incident that took place in Worcester earlier this week.
Police from Hereford are understood to have been involved in the Blackpole firearms incident, during which a shot was fired at a police car.

Hereford CID posted on social media: "Lots of officers worked together to bring this incident to a close ensuring minimal impact on the public and nobody coming to any harm. Just as it should be."
An unconnected incident is understood to have taken place in Whitecross, Hereford, in the early hours of this morning.
