A STAR stylist from Kidderminster has fulfilled her life-long dream of opening up her very own beauty salon.

The luxury salon Francesca Celeste Hair on Bewdley Road opened to the public on Wednesday (March 11), offering a full hair and beauty experience to customers.

Owner Francesca has worked as a stylist at fashion events all over the world including London, Paris, Milan and New York as part of celebrity hairdresser Brendan O’ Sullivan's team.

The 27-year-old, who lives in Marlpool, says she has dreamed about opening up her own salon since she was a little girl.

Kidderminster Shuttle:

She said: "I have worked hard in the last 12 years - I went self-employed in the hope to get a salon. It has been my dream.

"It's absolutely incredible. I want to try and break the stigma that people feel uncomfortable going into salons.

"I want people from all walks of life to come here and feel relaxed.

"We have four hairdressers, eyebrow and nail artist, lash technician, receptionist, two apprentices and a Saturday girl. It's a salon with a very chilled vibe.

"We specialise in bridal hair. We offer nail, eyebrow and eyelash treatments.

"It's not just for the ladies, we also do male grooming.

Kidderminster Shuttle:

"We have a free car park at the back of the salon and front and back entrance.

"We’re all about making the whole experience as easy and enjoyable as possible.

"We have massage backwash chairs and all the little touches are essential to us.

"The salon is something I always thought would happen, I have a good work ethic.

Francesca attended Wolverley High School and later Kidderminster College where she studied hairdressing.

She has worked for some big names in the fashion world including Celia kritharioti and Vivienne Westwood.

Francesca recently worked at the Cannes film festival alongside Marcello Costa, which she says was a "great honour".
