These pictures from our archive show Royal Square, Redditch in December 1975.
The square contained a food hall, shops and offices on two sides of an 85-stall open market.
Woolworth can clearly be seen to the left of the photograph.
At the time it was reported that the second phase of Redditch Town Centre shopping redevelopment, then under construction, would link the Royal Square to the Kingfisher Centre.
