A COMMUNITY-spirited father and daughter duo are setting out in their van to help Wyre Forest residents in need.

Sarah Davies, who lives in Spennells, and her father Steve Gould from Bewdley, have offered to deliver food and collect prescriptions for people in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

They have set up the 'Man With a Van Who Can' Facebook group for others to join the effort to support vulnerable residents from Kidderminster, Stourport and Bewdley.

Sarah said: "My dad, Steve Gould and I have decided to help anyone who can't get out to the shop's for any reason at all in this situation that we are all in.

"Mentally this isn't great for any of us but all I know is that we all need to stick together and be supportive at this time.

"I am very lucky as I have my health, family and friends but unfortunately not everyone is in this situation.

"From today we have a van that we are going to be using to help anyone in Kidderminster, Bewdley or Stourport.

"This situation is affecting everyone right now and the people I have mentioned this to have said if we need any help that they are offering to help also.

"People that know me well will know that I am doing this because I care not for money.

"All I ask is if you can add £1 or £2 to each delivery for fuel cost's, but if you haven't got it then I totally understand."
