Right now, in the middle of cornonavirus crisis, we need to hear good things.

And so the Worcester News has cast its eye over new album releases, and has picked out five of the best for consideration.

The aptly-named In This Moment will release “Mother’ on March 27. It is the band’s seventh studio album.

A spokesman said fans could expect “a gorgeous labyrinth of sound steered by frontwoman Maria Brink’s beguiling vocals, swirling around guitarist Chris Howorth’s heavier-than-granite riffing”

The spokesman added: “Mother’ follows 2017’s beloved ‘Ritual’ album. Excitement for the record burns at fever pitch, with the band featuring on several ‘Most Anticipated in 2020’ lists, including Alternative Press, Loudwire, and Revolver.”

Two-time Grammy award-nominated multi-platinum country/pop songstress Kelsea Ballerini has just released her new album ‘kelsea’ (Black River Entertainment).

But what does Kelsea have to say about it?

Pearl Jam will release their much-anticipated eleventh studio album, Gigaton, on Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records on March 27, in the US Internationally, the album will be released and distributed by Universal Music Group.

“Making this record was a long journey,” explains lead guitarist, Mike McCready. “It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times.”

Recorded between London, Nashville and Sweden, ‘Hollywood Gypsy’ is being billed as “a pop-country masterpiece filled with irresistible belters”.

Finally, Singer-songwriter supreme Rufus Wainwright has announced the release of his long awaited new album.

Unfollow The Rules will be out in Friday, April 24.
