OUTDOOR play equipment has been installed at a school after a man cycled 1,100 miles to raise money for the apparatus.
Lloyd Wilkes took part in the challenge to support Martley C of E Primary School’s project to build a play area on its neglected forest school.
Mr Wilkes said: “I was glad to get it across the line and install it before all the schools shut.
“Before it was officially opened my son and his friend were allowed in for a sneak preview. They were the first to climb on it and slide down.
“They looked absolutely thrilled with it.”
Mr Wilkes, aged 51, cycled from John O Groats to Lands’ End from May 1 to May 21 last year and raised £1,100.
The school's play area in Martley officially opened to its students on Tuesday, March 17.
Mr Wilkes completed the ride solo - he carried a tent with him on his bike throughout the journey.
He camped wild and stayed in hostels throughout the 20 days.
Mr Wilkes cycled 65 miles on average a day – but on the first day of the ride he cycled 90 miles.
