AN appeal has been launched after a group of four men in balaclavas robbed two women in their car in Wythall.

The terrifying incident, which happened in broad daylight, took place on Alcester Road at around 11.15am on Friday, March 20.

Police have today (March 30) released details of the robbery in a bid to find those responsible.

Officers say the women were approached by four men dressed all in black with balaclavas, who attacked them and stole several items.

The women did not suffer serious injuries, but were left shaken by the unprovoked attack, police say.

PC George Bednall, from West Mercia Police, said: “At around 11.15am on Friday 20 March two women were approached while in their car by four men, maybe in their mid-20s, in balaclavas and wearing all black who attacked them and stole several items.

“This was a particularly violent and scary unprovoked attack on two innocent women and while the victims didn’t suffer serious injury they were understandably upset and shaken.

“I would ask that any witnesses to please come forward and to please get in touch now by calling 101, quoting incident number 170s of the 20 March.”
